Speakers
Rev Steven Curry is the Pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Bangor, Northern Ireland. He took up this post in February 2008, returning to what was his home church after serving the Lord for 23 years in the small, country town of Ballymoney. Steven is married to Gail and has four grown-up children, Andrew, Simon, Matthew and Jonathan. Gail is the Director of Women’s Ministry for their Association of Churches. Andrew and Simon are both serving the Lord in ministry. Steven will be speaking on: Ministerial Doubts Ministerial Hypocrisy Ministerial Weakness Ministerial Attitude.
Dr Peter Smuts (BA LLB, MAR, PhD) is a qualified attorney and advocate of the Supreme Court of SA, but has not been active in the legal profession since 1985. He joined the Faculty of the Bible Institute of South Africa, near Cape Town, in 1996. Since that time he has held a variety of administrative and academic positions at the college and is currently Dean of Graduate Studies. Peter has had a number of articles published in theological journals, and is the author of Mark by the Book: A New Multidirectional Method For Understanding the Synoptic Gospels (P&R, 2013). He is married to Dagmar, and they have a son, three daughters and two grandsons. Peter will be speaking on: “Opening up Mark’s Gospel.”

With Pure Joy Lodge under new management, we decided to host the conference there. Now we can offer this conference of 2 days and 2 nights for the same rate as the one in January 2016 which only included 1 night!
Close to the city, Pure Joy is ideally situated for day visitors. It is a beautiful and tranquil venue where the static Blue Crane birds and small game variety of Springbuck, Duiker and Steenbuck roam around freely.
