September is a busy month at Mukhanyo! The second semester is in full-swing with courses continuing at all campuses. It is also the time when planning for the new academic year begins afresh. We are grateful for Mukhanyo’s wonderful team of committed lecturers and support staff that make our ministry possible.
Many additional events are planned for this month. On Saturday 7 September, Rev Isaac Maleke, our Dean of Students will speak along with several alumni at a Youth Conference in Vezubuhle, located within the greater KwaMhlanga area, to address the challenges of anxiety and stress and to give our young people hope and advice from the Scripture. On Saturday 14 September, Rev Neil Henry, the leader at our new work in Cape Town, is leading a conference entitled The Spiritual Leader. Then on 20-21 September, Dr Barend Hefer, our Johannesburg Campus Manager, is scheduled to present several addresses, along with Kevin Swanson, on Biblical parenting in the present age.
This month is also special since Mukhanyo will host its second graduation ceremony for 2024 on Friday 13 September. In the past, we held only one graduation event each year, but it must be different this year due to the increasing number of graduates. We look forward to this wonderful day during which we thank the Lord for the success of our graduates and celebrate this significant milestone with them and their families. Furthermore, the Board of Directors meets again on Thursday 19 September to review many matters including the outputs from our Strategic planning in July, further plans for the campus in Cape Town, and the need for additional Senior Lecturers in other areas.
Pray with us for all aspects of the Mukhanyo ministry this month. “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain” (Psa. 127:1). Please join us at the Throne of Grace for the increase of Christ’s kingdom in Southern Africa.
