“From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.” (Isaiah 64:4)
We are reminded that God wants us to come to Him in prayer. What a privilege!
We gladly share some points for prayer and praise:
- Thank the Lord with us for His wonderful provision for this ministry and that it can continue in a difficult economic climate. We remain dependent on Him to supply in the various needs for the college, but also for the students personally as some have difficulty in raising their fees.
- Looking at the calendar, several meetings and events are scheduled for March in addition to the normal day-to-day activities. We will appreciate prayer for the following:
Wednesday 4 March – Education Committee meeting (a committee of Board members)
Saturday 7 March – Graduation Ceremony
Tuesday 10 March – Academic Committee meeting (Programme managers and other senior Faculty members)
Tuesday 10 March – Staff Forum
Wednesday 11 March – Student Welcoming Function for the first year students.
Thursday 12 March – Board meeting
Saturday 14 March – Seminar at KwaMhlanga campus on “Teaching Children Effectively 2”.
Tuesday 24 March – Executive Management meeting
Wednesday 25 March – Operations Committee meeting - At all the campuses and Advanced Learning Centres about an hour per week is set apart for mentoring students. Lecturers need wisdom from the Lord as they seek to assist students with various issues in their lives and to prepare them for ministry.
- Our Faculty members are dependent on the Lord when teaching our students. Some students come to us as “rough diamonds” and it is a very responsible task to, with God’s help and by His grace, guide them to become “instruments for the Master’s use”.
- There is good progress at the Advanced Learning Centre in Rustenburg (North West Province) were full-time classes started in July 2019. There was a good intake for 2020 and more lecturers got involved on a part-time basis.
- In Durban (KwaZulu Natal) classes started in January at the new Advanced Learning Centre. We thank the Lord for a good start and it is our prayer that the Lord will give wisdom and guidance in the various matters as they are settling in.
- The annual Bible College Consultation is scheduled for June 2020. Much preparation on different levels is needed for this. Please pray that the programme can be finalised and that the event will be marketed effectively.
May the Lord bless you while you are part of the MTC ministry through your intercession!
