Prayer and Praise – August 2019

Picture

“You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.”
(1 Peter 2:9).

At Mukhanyo the second semester of 2019 has started and students are back in class. Thank you for standing with us in this through your prayers. It is our privilege to share some items with you for prayer and praise:

  1. Thank the Lord with us that our students are back to take up their studies again. Some are facing challenges to cover their fees and we trust the Lord to give them wisdom in this and to provide for them.
  2. With the help of our IT team we are seeking to find a suitable on-line system for our Academic Records and related info – a Student Information System as well as a Learning Management System. This is a big step and we are dependent on the Lord’s guidance that the right choice will be made.
  3. Things are happening at our new Advanced Learning Centre at Rustenburg (North West Province) as classes started there too. Most of the students attending are former Distance students as there were two groups of Distance students operating in the area for many years. Pray for growth in this area and for wisdom how to develop the centre further.
  4. As result of the good interest and the request to start an Advanced Learning Centre in Durban (KwaZulu/Natal) Mukhanyo is investigating possibilities. Pray with us for the Lord’s guidance and provision in various ways for this if it is His will.
  5. The following is on the calendar for August:
    – Monday 5 August – HR Committee  meeting
    – Wednesday 7 August – Audit and Risk Committee meeting
    – Monday 19 August – Executive Management Committee meeting
    – Wednesday 21 August – Education Committee meeting
    – Tuesday 27 August – Academic Committee meeting
Thursday 29 August – Board meeting
  6. Pray that our contact as well as distance students will grow in their relationship with the Lord while they are studying at Mukhanyo – so that they may indeed “proclaim the excellencies of Him who called them out of darkness into His marvellous light”!
  7. Pray that our staff, faculty and support staff, will not lose their vision of the actual task they are involved in, namely the training of pastors and Christian leaders.

Wishing you the Lord’s richest blessing!
