Prayer and Praise for February 2019

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.”
(2 Peter 3:18)

The new year has started and it is our prayer and desire that the Lord will use the ministry of Mukhanyo Theological College during 2019. Thank you that we may again share some prayer requests in this regard.

  1. Thank the Lord for the time of rest all our staff and students could enjoy during the annual holidays over Christmas and New Year and that everybody returned safely.
  2. Thank the Lord for the new students that joined us at KwaMhlanga campus as well as at the Learning Centres in Pretoria and Johannesburg. Please pray that they will soon feel at home and will get used to their new environment.
  3. Thank the Lord with us that a suitable venue for our Pretoria Learning Centre was found and that the necessary renovations could be completed in time to re-open there after the holidays. The renovations at Johannesburg Learning Centre were also completed. Thank the Lord for His provision!
  4. Several of our students have difficulty meeting their financial needs – even after receiving a bursary for part of their fees. Pray that the Lord will provide for them so that they can continue.
  5. This year we could officially launch the B.Th. Honours at our KwaMhlanga campus. Thank the Lord for this addition to our programme and pray that students will be better equipped for ministry.
  6. We are greatly encouraged that most dragging uncertainties regarding MTC’s accreditation matters are sorted. Pray that we will also receive a positive outcome on our application for the two Higher Certificates soon. (These two courses of one year each, will replace the Diploma course which we have to discontinue in the future.)
  7. Our Graduation Ceremony is planned for Saturday 9 March – please pray for those who have to deal with the many logistics in preparation for this.
  8. We thank the Lord for the many Distance Groups that use our programme. Many of these students are studying part-time. Pray that they will persevere and that the Lord will use them as witnesses for Him in their surroundings.
  9. Pray that all our staff and students will be faithful in their walk with the Lord and will grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour. Some come from families that are not Christians – please pray that the Lord will strengthen them spiritually and that their lives may be living testimonies.
Thank you for your precious prayer support!
