Student Testimonials
Before starting my journey with Mukhanyo, I worked in retail as a store controller. I left my job to pursue my studies, facing challenges in paying my fees and having to leave class multiple times. Receiving the sponsorship allowed me to focus entirely on my studies without financial worries, leading to improved grades. The sponsorship enabled me to complete my course. My studies at Mukhanyo prepared me for ministry. After graduating, I registered for a master’s degree at the University of Pretoria, which I completed in 2023. Now, I serve in ministry and tutor Mukhanyo local learning groups part-time. My experience at Mukhanyo taught me that we are called by God and that He takes care of those He sends. With the education I received, I am now a better teacher and preacher. I run Bible classes at my church, equipping other ministers for better ministry. To the donors who made my studies at Mukhanyo possible, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude. Your generosity does not go unnoticed. In the future, I plan to lecture and equip other ministers for effective ministry. I completed my honours degree in 2019 at the age of 36.

Before receiving a sponsorship from Mukhanyo Theological College, I struggled to balance work and my theological studies. The company I worked for closed due to COVID-19, and the sponsorship was a blessing that provided the financial stability I needed to continue with my studies. This support, along with contributions from generous individuals, made my education possible. A particularly impactful moment was during my pastoral counselling course. My lecturer’s insight and passion deeply inspired me and reinforced my commitment to my studies. The strong theological foundation I received at Mukhanyo now equips me as a teen ministry teacher at my local church. The financial support allowed me to dedicate myself fully to my studies and personal growth. My time at Mukhanyo profoundly shaped my perspective on ministry, teaching me the importance of sound doctrine, which I now implement in my current role. I continue to learn and grow spiritually through Bible study. To the donors, my deepest gratitude. Your generosity has not only changed my life but also the lives of the children I teach. Thank you for believing in me and supporting my journey. Because of the foundation I received at Mukhanyo, I envision expanding into women’s ministry initiatives. The sponsorship has been life-changing, opening doors to opportunities I never imagined. I am committed to giving back and helping others on their journey. I completed my studies at Mukhanyo Theological College in 2022, obtaining a degree in theology at 38 years old.

When I started at Mukhanyo Theological College, I relied solely on my parents for financial support, and we struggled to pay my fees. By the end of the first semester, I feared I wouldn’t continue. Then, we were informed of a sponsorship for struggling students. When I received the sponsorship, it was a tremendous encouragement, allowing me to focus on my studies without financial worries. The most impactful moments were during college devotions, where God spoke to me through His Word. Mukhanyo prepared me for ministry, and now I minister at my church and work part-time for a gas company. As I lived in the dormitories on campus, the support covered my meals and accommodation, strengthening my faith and giving me boldness to share God’s goodness. Mukhanyo instilled in me the five solas of the Reformation, emphasizing God’s glory. After preaching at my home church, several people asked for my sermon notes and Bible teaching. To the donors, thank you for your support. Your generosity is never in vain, as Proverbs 19:17 says, “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed.” Without the sponsorship, I doubt I would have completed my studies. Rev. I. Maleke informed me of a donation towards my fees, encouraging my family and me. God was faithful throughout my time at Mukhanyo. I completed my Bachelor of Theology degree in November 2023 at the age of 27.
