The Lord has blessed Mukhanyo again this year! By God’s grace, we have continued to serve many churches by equipping their students with quality biblical training, and we are proud of our 177 graduates in 2025.
Our committed staff are presently finishing off their work for the academic year. Most exams have been written by our campus-based students, and these are now being moderated. Our Board of Directors has approved plans for 2026, including the overall operations budget and the teaching schedules for all six regional campuses and centres.
We are very pleased with the growing number of new students for next year. Registration is still open, and early applicants receive a discount. Even though our Mukhanyo offices will be closed for the holidays after the 12 December, late applications will still be received when we reopen the week of Monday 5 January 2026.
We look forward to our annual Welcome Day which is planned for Monday 19 January 2026 at our KwaMhlanga Campus.
Also, may I please bring two matters to your attention for special prayer and thanksgiving?
First, we are grateful to God that our Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) programme has received conditional accreditation from the Council on Higher Education (CHE). This programme is designed to equip Christians with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience required to excel in the teaching profession.
Please pray for us as we finalize the prior to commencement conditions and that there be no delay for registration on the national qualifications framework. The PGCE will be a capstone to our teacher education programme: Mukhanyo already offers four Higher Certificate elective courses on “How to be a Christian Teacher.” We also offer the school subjects in the Bachelor of Theology (BTh) degree that are needed for entrance into the PGCE. Church leaders who complete Mukhanyo’s BTh degree together with the PGCE will be qualified to teach at any school in South Africa.
Second, please pray with us in obtaining a future Master of Theology (M.Th.) programme. Many churches and Christians in southern Africa urgently need an accredited M-level qualification that is grounded in Reformed theology, that is faithful to confessional traditions, and that engages with contemporary issues in our complex society. In the past year, we designed and submitted an application for this much-needed programme. Pray with us that the CHE will approve this application without delay. As Mukhanyo continues to serve the church, we are expanding our ability to provide faithful Bible education in southern Africa that is for the church and by the church.
Please continue to support Mukhanyo’s ministry through your prayers and your financial contributions for the long-term success of our ministry. By God’s grace, and with your partnership, we will continue to equip ministers and ministry workers for faithful churches in southern Africa.
