As we continue the second semester of 2026, I am grateful for God’s continued faithfulness to Mukhanyo Theological College and for the many ways He is at work through our students, staff and supporters.
One of the highlights in the coming month will be our awards ceremony on Thursday, 10 September, at which approximately 115 Focus students will be recognised for successfully completing their programme of study. This is a significant achievement, and we rejoice with each student who has persevered and reached this important milestone. Although many of these graduates will unfortunately be unable to attend in person because they study through our local learning sites in western Kenya, we celebrate their accomplishments no less enthusiastically. We are pleased that a special ceremony will also be held in Kenya to honour these students and their hard work.
At the same time, Mukhanyo’s academic leadership team is actively planning for the 2027 academic year. We are anticipating growth across our campuses and are excited about opportunities to expand our academic offerings. Two new programmes are currently in development and, Lord willing, we hope to begin marketing them soon. The first is a Master of Theology (MTh), a postgraduate degree focused on advanced theological study and specialised training for church leadership and Christian ministry. The second is a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), a one-year professional qualification that will enable Bachelor of Theology graduates to become qualified school teachers.
As we prepare for this growth, we are also seeking to expand our team. Several new positions are becoming available, including programme management and lecturing opportunities across our various campuses. I encourage interested readers to visit our vacancies page for more information.
Finally, I would like to ask for your continued partnership in prayer and financial support. Our desire is to keep tuition fees as affordable as possible while increasing the bursary assistance available to students in serious financial need. At the same time, we remain committed to supporting experienced lecturers who provide quality Christian higher education.
Please consider sharing Mukhanyo’s ministry with your church, friends and Christian networks, and encourage others to join us in investing in the next generation of Christian leaders.
Thank you for your ongoing support and prayers. Together, we continue to serve Christ and advance His kingdom through theological education.
