Mukhanyo pastors’ retreat 2025: Spiritual renewal

In August 2025 MTC Welkom Local Learning Site, held a retreat for students and their spouses at Buffelspoort ATKV.  It was a transformative experience for these students and church leaders. Participants like David Radebe and his wife cherished the opportunity to bond away from the demands of daily life, finding peace and renewal in the serene surroundings.  The retreat fostered unity, with participants noting the warm, family atmosphere that increased spiritual refreshment.

Pastor Glyn Williams delivered inspiring, Christ-centered teachings on Psalm 23, prayer, and biblical marriage and leadership. Students like Mandla Gwala and Mamokete Lekaota found the sessions challenging and encouraging, emphasizing dependence on God. David Ramosedi praised the focus on calling and shepherdship, igniting passion for Christian living, while Matsidiso Gumede valued the call to glorify God through service.

Students expressed thankfulness to the Radebe and O’Tool families for organising and hosting, and to Glyn & Linda Williams for speaking and serving, reflecting Christ’s example. Students like Itumeleng Mokolutlo and Neo Nthishe appreciated the sense of brotherhood and love among attendees. The retreat inspired some, like Mira Kholikile, to pursue further studies at Mukhanyo and share its mission with others.

The retreat left attendees with renewed passion for the gospel and stronger relationships. Matowane Radebe’s prayer of gratitude captured the collective appreciation for God’s presence and the organizers’ efforts. Students like Tokelo Mawele look forward to next year, eager to apply Pastor Glyn’s teachings, making the 2025 retreat a powerful testament to fellowship and biblical teaching.

Comments from some of the students who attended:

“First of all, I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to study at Mukhanyo Theological College. It’s my first time attending the retreat, and what a warmful trip. Everything was well organised; accommodation; food and I will also like to thank Pastor Louis and his family, as well as Pastor Glyn and Mrs Linda, may our almighty God bless you all. I would like to study further with Mukhanyo so that I could inspire youth at my church. I will also pass the message to those who are interested to study at Mukhanyo about how good it is, so that one of these days we will have a big institution at Welkom. May God bless you all.”                                 – Kholekile Willem Mira

“This was an informative session, which seeks to ignite the sound of Christian principles. We are looking forward to next year because this is good for our souls.”                                                   – Matousu

“It is my third time I have come to the retreat, always the teachers point us to Christ. To show how marriage was designed by God to glorify Him and that we may enjoy Him in serving your family and others.”                                                                                                                           – Tshidi

“Thanksgiving to our Lord because the 2025 retreat, through the Holy Spirit, has driven my wife (Pulane) to register with MTC and do the Focus certificate. I propose and support that the retreat has enlightened us and given us more self-esteem.”                                                          – Itumeleng
