Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA, and Mukhanyo Theological College recognize five years of partnership and affirm the continued collaboration for the ThM programme in South Africa.
Mukhanyo therefore remains the local facilitation partner for Puritan Reformed’s Master of Theology (ThM) programme. This programme is accessible to students based in Southern Africa through Mukhanyo’s Pretoria campus, alongside Mukhanyo’s accredited Higher Certificates, Bachelor’s, and Honours programmes in theology.
Over the past five years, Mukhanyo and Puritan Reformed have shared a commitment to biblically faithful, Reformed, experiential, and academically rigorous theological education that equips Christians for all forms of contemporary ministry. The continued relationship reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to serve Christ’s church through theological education that is firmly grounded in Scripture, faithful to the Reformed tradition, and relevant to the needs of the church in Southern Africa today.

Students currently enrolled in Mukhanyo programmes or the ThM programme of PRTS can continue their studies with confidence, knowing that there have been no changes to the partnership or to the academic opportunities offered by the two institutions.
As a registered and accredited private higher education institution, Mukhanyo remains committed to providing accessible, recognised theological education through its seven learning centres in South Africa, as well as through its growing network of local learning sites across Southern Africa.
Mukhanyo also welcomes enquiries from students who have studied theology elsewhere and want to know if their previous studies qualify for academic credit. In line with Mukhanyo’s academic policies, prior learning may be considered through established processes for admission, Credit Accumulation and Transfer (CAT), or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Each application is assessed on its own merits.
