Mukhanyo Theological College on Friday 12 September hosted its 2025 Graduation Ceremony, celebrating the achievements of 85 graduates from a range of programmes, including Higher Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor of Theology, and Honours courses. Families, faculty, and friends gathered to acknowledge the graduates’ dedication and hard work over the years.
The ceremony began with messages and singing before the formal conferring of qualifications. Graduates from across Mukhanyo’s campuses, centres and local learning sites stepped forward to receive their awards, marking the completion of their studies and preparation for service in churches and communities.
Dr Brian DeVries, Principal of Mukhanyo Theological College, delivered the Principal’s Address, reflecting on God’s faithfulness and the calling of the graduates. He said: “We are proud of our graduates and the dedication they have shown over the years. Each of these students has worked diligently to complete their studies, and we pray that they will continue to serve their communities and churches faithfully.”
The Student Representative Address was given by Luvhuwani Walter Mvenya, who spoke on behalf of his fellow graduates, sharing reflections on their journey and gratitude for the support they had received during their studies.
The programme also included the presentation of the Principal’s Awards, which recognise academic excellence, perseverance, and commitment to Christian service. This year’s recipients were:
- Vuyelwa Victoria Mthimunye, a Higher Certificate student from Kwamhlanga Campus, also a dedicated teacher.
- Jeffery Dean Viljoen, a Bachelor of Theology student from Pretoria Campus who is the country leader of the Campus Outreach ministry.
- Paul Zadok Otiena Odhiambo from Kenya, who completed his Diploma in Theology through the Local Learning Programme.
The ceremony concluded with a Prayer of Dedication led by Rev. Martin Mosiwa Molokwane, member of Mukhanyo’s Board of Directors. Graduates were entrusted to God’s guidance as they begin their ministries and careers, equipped to serve with faith and integrity.
Mukhanyo Theological College continues to provide theological training that combines academic learning with practical application, preparing men and women for service in churches and communities across Africa.
