Mukhanyo Theological College is pleased to announce two new appointments to our academic management team. We thank the Lord for these gifted men and are excited to see how the Lord will use them at Mukhanyo to serve our students and contribute toward the further growth of our programmes.
After reviewing the many applicants, the decision was made to split the post-graduate position and instead appoint two men in this capacity. Thus this month Mukhanyo’s Board approved the following appointments: Dr Jacob Igba as the Honours Programme Manager and Dr Koos Adendorff as the Masters Programme Manager.
Dr Jacob Igba (Dipl, LTh, BTh, BA Hons, MA, and a PhD) is already a member of the Mukhanyo family, having served as a Senior Lecturer in our Pretoria Campus for several years. As 1 July, he will join full time as Programme Manager for the Honours Programme. He has studied at Ahmadu Bello University, the Bible Institute of South Africa, and George Whitefield College. He has a Masters (Systematic theology and Biblical exegesis) and a Ph.D. specializing in New Testament Socio-historical studies, both completed at North-West University, Potchefstroom. He also completed a certification in postgraduate supervision at the African Doctoral Academy of Stellenbosch University. Dr Igba continues to serve part-time with Africa Inland Mission, fulfilling the role of Southern Africa mobilizing coordinator and serving on the executive leadership of Global Mobilization Network.
Dr Koos Adendorff (BA, BD, DG-Dipl Theo, MTh, DTh) comes to us with decades of experience as both a minister and a professor. He will serve at Mukhanyo on a part-time basis in order to lead plans for the Masters Programme. He started his education at the University of Pretoria obtaining the BA and BD degrees, and also a Postgraduate Diploma in Theology. He then received both the Masters and Doctorate in Theology degrees from the University of the Free State. He has pastored churches since 1980. He also has lectured at the Afrikaanse Protestantse Akademie since 2005, serving in various leadership roles such as Head of Department, Dean of the Faculty of Theology, and Rector. Dr Adendorff is the author of several books, many academic and popular-level publications, as well as a number of practical training courses for church leaders. He has many years of experience in mentoring students and in church leadership.
Mukhanyo Theological College welcomes these experienced educators to our academic team and congratulates them on their new positions. We look forward to their contributions and wish them success in their new roles.
Mukhanyo is grateful for our diverse team of gifted and experienced lecturers. We thank the Lord for each person He has called to serve our students.
