At Mukhanyo Theological College, every student embarks on a journey of faith, knowledge, and ministry. As we step into 2025, we take a moment to hear from some of our new students about their hopes, dreams, and what inspires them as they begin their studies.
One such student is Bheki Masango, a 26-year-old enrolled in the Higher Certificate in Bible Teaching programme. Bheki was drawn to Mukhanyo because of its strong reputation for equipping Christians for ministry. He is eager to deepen his understanding of theology and earn his qualification, believing that this knowledge will help him serve others more effectively.
A verse that keeps Bheki inspired is John 3:16, a powerful reminder of God’s love and the promise of eternal life through faith in Christ. When asked which Biblical figure he would most like to have coffee with, Bheki chose David, expressing a deep curiosity about how David found the strength to defeat Goliath. His admiration for David’s courage and faith speaks to his own desire to grow spiritually and face life’s challenges with confidence.
Beyond his studies, Bheki has a passion for reading privately, seeking to gain knowledge and share it with those who may not have access to such information. His enthusiasm for learning and spreading biblical truths embodies the very mission of Mukhanyo – to equip and empower believers for the work of God’s kingdom.
Another inspiring new student is Mutali Mulaudzi, also 26 years old and enrolled in the Higher Certificate in Bible Teaching programme. Mutali discovered Mukhanyo through social media and was drawn to the college’s commitment to theological education. His primary goal for 2025 is to expand his knowledge of God and share what he learns with others, while also pushing himself to grow beyond his comfort zone.
Mutali finds deep inspiration in Proverbs 3:5-6, a verse that encourages trust in the Lord’s guidance. If he could sit down for coffee with any Biblical figure, he would choose Paul, eager to ask him what he would say in a letter to the modern church. His curiosity about faith and scripture fuels his desire to engage with the Bible in a meaningful way.
An interesting fact about Mutali is that he loves writing and is considering writing his first book this year. His passion for storytelling and sharing wisdom reflects his commitment to spiritual growth and outreach.
Another student stepping into 2025 with great ambition is Sibusiso William Mahlangu, also 26 years old and enrolled in the Higher Certificate in Bible Teaching programme. Sibusiso learned about Mukhanyo through his father’s friend and is determined to excel in his academic journey. He draws inspiration from 2 Timothy 3:16, which highlights the power and authority of Scripture. If given the chance, he would love to have a conversation with Moses, as he resonates with Moses’ story, particularly because they both share the challenge of a stutter. Outside of his studies, Sibusiso enjoys writing, a passion that allows him to express his thoughts and reflect on his faith.
As 2025 unfolds, we look forward to seeing how students like Bheki, Mutali and Sibusiso grow in their faith and knowledge, preparing themselves for a future of ministry and service. We pray that their journey at Mukhanyo will be a time of transformation and inspiration, equipping them to make a lasting impact in their communities and beyond.
