Called by providence, formed for ministry | Mr Justice Ramothwala

Mr Justice Ramothwala – BTh Honours Graduate, Pretoria Campus (March 2025)

A Journey Led by Providence

“I came to Mukhanyo by God’s providence,” says Justice Ramothwala, a recent BTh Honours graduate from the Pretoria campus. “When I went to a local church in the area, I found out about MTC, and that’s when I enrolled for my Honours.”

From the very beginning, Justice recognised that Mukhanyo offered more than academic training. “Mukhanyo is not all about your academic journey, but also your devotional life,” he explains. “It’s about how to become constantly reforming and being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.”

Growing in Theology and Service

Throughout his studies, he experienced growth both intellectually and spiritually. “I learned a lot from them and have grown in the area of theology, but also in service in the local church,” he reflects. “I believe it’s useful to be academic, but also to use that in the local church.”

Justice is now pursuing a Master of Theology degree and currently writing his research paper. His calling remains clear: “The idea is to be a servant of the Lord who is equipped to be effective in ministry.”

With gratitude for what he received at Mukhanyo, he now encourages others to follow the same path. “I want to motivate new students to come study at Mukhanyo. It’s quality education which prepares you for ministry.”

A Workman Not Ashamed

He concludes with a Scripture-rooted conviction that underpins his calling: “We believe those who are to serve God are to present themselves as workmen who are not ashamed.”
